January 16 (SeeNews) - Croatia's telecommunications regulator HAKOM said on Monday that the overall starting price of the frequency bands offered in a public tender for national licences for the use of the radio-frequency spectrum for mobile communication services is 154.8 million euro ($167 million).
The bidding for the individual radio-frequency bands 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz i 2600 MHz on national level has started and it will be carried out as simultaneous multi-round auction, HAKOM said in a statement.
In November, HAKOM said the current mobile operators A1 Hrvatska, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] and Telemach Hrvatska have met all conditions to take part in the tender to compete for the use of the those frequency bands on national level.
After the end of the auction, a bidding will take place for the 3600 MHz radio-frequency bands on regional level.
