September 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia will carry out its first digital census from September 13 to 26 as an initial phase of a population census to be held until October 17, the country's statistical office said.
The census in 2021 covers three units: population, households and homes, it said in a statement on its website.
During the first phase, individuals will be able submit the information required for the census about themselves and their household in an electronic system named “e-citizens” (e-gradjani).
In the second phase, starting of September 27, interviewers will talk to all those who did not take part in the electronic census.
The Adriatic country had a population fo 4.2 million people according to the previous population census held in 2011.
