March 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian defence minister Mario Banozic said that the country intends to buy Spike long-range anti-tank guided missiles for more than 11 million euro ($12 million) and armoured wheeled vehicles Patria BOV for over 158 million euro in the next few years, local media reported.
The country will also plans to spend some 45 million euro to upgrade the radar system and the communications system of its Air Force, local TV station N1 quoted Banozic as saying last week after the defence committee in parliament approved the outlay.
The upgrade of the radars’ system should be completed by 2025, Banozic added.
A further 1.4 million euro will be provided to pay value added tax on a U.S. donation of rigid inflatable boats.
