February 16 (SeeNews) - Croatia's government has decided to build a 37 million kuna ($5.9 million/4.9 million euro) fishing port in the town of Komiza, on the Vis island, the agriculture ministry said.
The new facility will provide appropriate working conditions for fishing boats, agriculture minister Marija Vuckovic said in a press release on Monday.
The project includes the construction of a 78-metre long primary breakwater with a plateau and two shorelines of 54 metres and 89 metres in length, respectively.
In the later phases of the project a cold storage, service facilities and a petrol station will be built.
