February 26 (SeeNews) - Croatia's health minister Vili Beros said on Wednesday a second case of the coronavirus infection has been confirmed in the country.
"I can say that we have a second confirmed case. This was in some way expected since he is brother of the first patient who also tested positive," Beros told public TV and radio broadcaster HRT. A video file with his statement was uploaded on HRT's website.
Beros added that the second man has a mild clinical condition, while his girlfriend who continues to be under surveillance had tested negative.
"All who have so far tested positive in the Republic of Croatia are in a very good state, without any significant signs of the disease," Beros noted.
On Tuesday, Croatia reported that its first confirmed coronavirus case was a young man who had recently been to Milan, in neighbouring Italy. Earlier this week Italy reported an outbreak of the infection in the north of the country, including Milan.
