February 5 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia fell by an annual 48% to 1,814 units in January, market research agency Promocija Plus said on Monday.
Volkswagen was the top-selling brand in the country of 4.3 million people with 234 cars sold in January, down from 528 in January 2012, Promocija Plus said in a statement.
Renault was the runner-up with 189 cars sold in the first month of 2013 versus 281 a year earlier.
Kia ranked third with sales of 161 units over the review period, compared to 243 in January 2012.
January's best-selling models in Croatia were Volkswagen Golf with 88 units, followed by Renault's Clio and Megane models with 72 and 69 units, respectively.
