ZAGREB (Croatia), February 4 (SeeNews) – The Croatian government is considering setting up a company that will look after the interests of the state when its comes to the management of the domestic oil and natural gas resources, Croatian media reported on Monday.
The launch of the new company is one of the corner-stones of a new hydrocarbons bill that is in the works, daily Vecernji List (www.vecernji.hr) reported, giving no source.
In opting for the creation of the new company, the government has rejected an idea for the launch instead of a state agency, the newspaper said, adding that the reason for this decision was that an agency would not be in a position to cooperate with future concessionaires as part of product sharing arrangements.
