July 12 (SeeNews) - Croatia has met the criteria for the use of 6.8 billion euro ($6.8 billion) under two programmes of the European Union's 2021-2027 financial envelope, the ministry of regional development and EU funds said.
The process of programming under the programmes Competitiveness and Cohesion and Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI), which started in January 2021, was finished last Friday, which creates conditions to start using funds from them as of September, the ministry said in a press release on Saturday.
The country's Competitiveness and Cohesion programme for the period 2021-2027 is worth 5.031 billion euro, the ITI programme is worth 1.514 billion euro and along with them Croatia will be able to use technical aid of 293 million euro.
The Adriatic country has been a member of the European Union as of July 1, 2013 and is expected to join the eurozone as of January 1, 2023.
