June 10 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE: CRAL] said on Friday it will launch five new direct seasonal flights connecting Split to Stockholm, Bucharest, Dublin, Milan and Amsterdam.
As of Friday, flights between Stockholm and Split will be operated twice a week, on Friday and Sunday, Croatia Airlines said in a statement.
This Friday an aircraft of Croatia Airlines carried the first passengers on the new seasonal line Split – Bucharest, which will be operated every Wednesday and Friday.
Flights to Dublin and Milan will be launched on Sunday, and on June 14 the first Split-Amsterdam flight for this summer will take place.
During the summer, Croatia Airlines will connect Split directly to 18 European destinations, compared to 13 in the pre-pandemic 2019, when the Split airport reported a record high traffic of 3.3 million people.
Split is Croatia's second largest city and an important tourism and economic centre in the country's southern Adriatic region of Dalmatia.
The shares of Croatia Airlines last traded on February 18, when they closed flat at 14 kuna ($2.0/1.9 euro).
