June 1 (SeeNews) - State-controlled flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE:CRAL-R-A] said its consolidated net loss widened to 110.5 million kuna ($16.2 million/14.6 million euro) in the first quarter, from 98.6 million kuna in the same period of 2019.
Total consolidated revenues dropped 3% year-on-year to 248 million kuna in January-March, while total costs went up 1% to 359 million kuna, Croatia Airlines said in a filing with the Zagreb bourse on Friday.
The air carrier's EBITDA widened to a negative 51.8 million kuna from a negative 42.4 million kuna in the first three months of 2019.
Croatia Airlines carried 270,000 passengers in January-March, down from 346,000 a year earlier, while the volume of transported cargo and post rose to 505 tonnes from 476 tonnes.
Croatia Airlines' shares last traded on the Zagreb bourse on May 14, closing flat at 30 kuna.
