March 3 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's Crnogorski Telekom [MNG:TECG] recorded a net profit of 4.3 million euro ($4.8 million) in 2019, the company said without providing comparative figures.
Revenue decreased by 5% on the year to 80.2 million euro, while earnings before interests, tax, depreciation and amortisation(EBITDA) fell 7% to 29.1 million euro, the telecommunications company said in a bourse filing.
Crnogorski Telekom booked a net profit of 7.3 million euro ($8.2 million) in 2018, up 41.6% on an annual basis, according to data from the 2018 balance sheet of the company.
"More than 15 million gigabytes of data went through the Crnogorski Telekom network last year, and it is important to note that increased internet traffic has not affected surfing speed. Crnogorski Telekom's 4G network is officially the fastest in the country, according to the 2019 Agency for Electronic Communications (EKIP)," CEO Dina Tsybulskaya said.
The number of postpaid customers increased by 6%, while mobile Internet users rose by 9% to 184,000, Crnogorski Telekom added.
Croatia's biggest telecoms operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] controls 76.53% of Crnogorski Telekom.
