PODGORICA (Montenegro), February 12 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin telecommunications company Crnogorski Telekom [MNG:TECG] said it has invested 7.4 million euro ($8.4 million) so far in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure.
Ten municipalities in Montenegro have so far been covered by the project, which has allowed access to some 37,000 households. In the capital Podgorica every second household is connected to the FTTH network, the telco, a unit of Hungary's Magyar Telekom, said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
Crnogorski Telekom's fixed broadband subscribers rose by an annual 5.0% to 76,900 at the end of September.
Montenegro has a population of around 630,000.
