June 7 (SeeNews) - American multinational diversified hospitality company Marriott International will open its first Courtyard hotel in Bosnia's Banja Luka on July 1, local media reported.
The hotel will have 118 rooms, a multimedia conference room with some 200 seats and a restaurant with more than 90 seats, news portal klix.ba reported on Thursday. The luxury hotel will also have a wellness centre, fitness room and underground garage.
The company will first employ some 40 workers, while in its full capacity the number of workers will grow to 60.
In November 2017, Marriott International and Bosnia's company MMI Razvoj projekata signed a franchise agreement for the construction of the four-star hotel in the city's centre.
Marriot International operates some 6,200 hotels in 125 countries, with more than 1.2 million accommodation units. The hotel chain has hotels in Croatia's Zagreb, Bosnia's Sarajevo, Serbia's Belgrade and N. Macedonia's Skopje, among others.
Banja Luka is the largest city in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
