July 30 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based hospitality company Marriott International opened its first Courtyard hotel in Bosnia's Banja Luka on July 29, local media reported.
The hotel has 118 rooms, a multimedia conference room with some 200 seats and a restaurant with more than 100 seats, wellness centre, fitness room and underground garage, news portal Nezavisne.com reported on Monday.
In November 2017, Marriott International and Bosnia's company MMI Razvoj projekata signed a franchise agreement for the construction of the four-star hotel in the city's centre.
Marriott International operates some 7,000 hotels in 132 countries, with more than 1.3 million accommodation units, according to data from the company. The hotel chain has hotels in Croatia's Zagreb, Bosnia's Sarajevo, Serbia's Belgrade and North Macedonia's Skopje, among others.
Banja Luka is the largest city in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
