May 19 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:ROZA] said on Friday that its sales revenue came in at 1.14 million levs ($630,259/582,871 euro) in the first four months of 2023, beating its 1.08 million levs target.
In April alone, the company posted a preliminary profit of 57,000 levs, while sales amounted to 412,000 levs, Bulgarian Rose said in a bourse filing. In comparison, it booked a loss of 2,000 levs and sales of 552,000 levs in the same month of last year.
Sales in May are projected at 285,000 levs, bringing revenue in the first five months of 2023 to some 1.4 million levs.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs. The company is part of local blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH].
Shares in Bulgarian Rose last traded at 1.70 levs on the BaSE market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
