August 22 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:ROZA] said its sales revenue came in at 3.26 million levs ($1.7 million/1.7 million euro) for the first seven months of the year.
Preliminary profit for the January-July period was 244,000 levs, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Friday.
Last month, Bulgarian Rose forecast sales revenue of 3.2 million levs for the seven months through July.
The company booked a preliminary profit of 30,000 levs on revenue of 320,000 levs last month, exceeding its early July sales forecast of 260,000 levs, according to the filing.
Bulgarian Rose also estimated its profit for August to total 240,000 levs and its eight-month profit to amount to 3.5 million levs.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs. The company is part of local blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH].
Shares in Bulgarian Rose last traded at 1.90 levs on the BaSE market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data showed.
