July 28 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:ROZA] said on Wednesday that it turned to a net profit of 159,000 levs ($95,900/81,300 euro) in the first six months of 2021 from a net loss of 14,000 levs in the same period of last year.
Bulgarian Rose generated 1.8 million levs in revenue in the January-June period, up from 1.7 million levs in the like period of 2020, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company's expenses edged down to 1.69 million levs in the first half of this year from 1.75 million levs a year earlier.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs. The company is part of blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH].
