November 23 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:4BH] said that it booked sales revenue of 5.05 million levs ($2.9 million/2.6 million euro) in the January-October period of 2018, exceeding its forecast, made last month, by 50,000 levs.
In the same period of last year, Bulgarian Rose reported sales revenue of 5.65 million levs.
Bulgarian Rose generated a preliminary gross profit of 604,000 levs in the first ten months of the year, the company said in a statement.
The cosmetics maker expects to bring in sales of 1.22 million levs in November alone, sharply up from 383,000 levs in November 2017.
In July, Bulgarian Rose signed a five-year agreement with Beijing Fangcaoziyan Cosmetics Trading Co. for exports of cosmetic products and rose oil. The value of exports is expected to reach 40 million levs in the long run, Bulgarian Rose said at the time.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs.
Bulgarian Rose, part of blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR], has stores in nine cities across Bulgaria.
