August 22 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:4BH] said on Wednesday that it expects its sales revenue to amount to 3.8 million levs ($2.2 million/1.9 million euro) in the first eight months of the year.
Last year, Bulgarian Rose reported revenue of 4.7 million levs in January-August.
In August alone, Bulgarian Rose expects to book sales of 491,000 levs, the company said in a statement.
In the first seven months of 2018, Bulgarian Rose posted sales of 3.3 million levs and a preliminary gross profit of 301,000 levs.
Last month, Bulgarian Rose signed a five-year agreement with Beijing Fangcaoziyan Cosmetics Trading Co. for exports of cosmetic products and rose oil. The value of exports is expected to reach 40 million levs in the long run, Bulgarian Rose said at the time.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs.
Bulgarian Rose, part of blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR], has stores in nine cities across Bulgaria.
