Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 1.75 billion euro ($1.94 billion) in January-June, compared to a surplus of 266.3 million euro in the like period of 2018, the central bank said on Monday.
The current account surplus in the first six months was equivalent to 3% of Bulgaria's expected 2019 gross domestic product (GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly balance of payments report.
In June alone, Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 880.3 million euro, which compares to a surplus of 341.9 million euro in June 2018.
