May 13 (SeeNews) - In SeeNews story "Astra Vagoane to deliver 100 trams to Bucharest in 200 mln euro deal" dated May 11, please read in the last paragraph: "The company was privatized in 2000, after local management company Tristar SRL took over its shares.", instead of "Astra Vagoane is a subsidiary of Astra Rail group, which in 2016 merged its operations with US-headquartered railroad industry equipment and services supplier Greenbrier." (Corrects to make clear that Astra Vagoane is an independent company in the passenger rail space, unrelated to Greenbrier.)
A corrected version follows:
The Bucharest city government said on Tuesday that it signed a 200 million euro ($243 million) deal with Romanian railcar manufacturer Astra Vagoane for the delivery of 100 new trams.
Under the contract, Astra Vagoane must deliver the first tram in August 2022, the city government said in a press release.
Starting August 2022, four trams will be delivered every month.
