April 2 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 16 by Thursday morning, up from 15 a day earlier, while the number of confirmed cases of the infection increased by 56 to 897, the government in Ljubljana said.
A total of 29 people are under intensive care out of all 112 who have been hospitalised, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.
The latest count is based on the test results of 24,857 people.
The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
