April 7 (SeeNews) - Montenegro has confirmed 16 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country since Monday morning, bringing the total number of registered infected people to 239, the country's health institute said on Tuesday.
A total of ten coronavirus cases were confirmed on the evening of April 6 and six more were reported on Tuesday, the health institute, a unit with the health ministry, said in an update on the epidemiological situation in the country.
Montenegro confirmed the first two cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on its territory on March 17. On March 22, the first death caused by the coronavirus disease was reported in the country.
