April 6 (SeeNews) - Montenegro has confirmed 79 new cases if the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country since Friday morning, bringing the total number of registered infected people to 223, the country's health institute said on Monday.
A total of nine coronavirus cases were confirmed on April 6, six of them related to already reported cases, the health institute, a unit with the health ministry, said in an update on the epidemiological situation in the country.
Montenegro confirmed the first two cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on its territory on March 17. On March 22, the first death caused by the coronavirus disease was reported in the country.
