March 27 (SeeNews) - Moldova's health ministry said on Friday that coronavirus cases in the country rose to 177 from 149 a day earlier.
Some 28,510 people are in self-isolation at their homes, the ministry said in a press release.
So far, Moldova has registered two deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on its territory.
On Monday, Moldova's emergency situations committee decided to bar people older than 63 years from to leave their homes except for going to work,buy medicines or food or walking their pets.
On March 17, Moldova's parliament declared a state of emergency to enable authorities to tackle the coronavirus disease outbreak more efficiently.
The country will be in a state of emergency for a period of 60 days, until May 16.
