April 12 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian unit of U.S.-based power producer ContourGlobal, which operates thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa East 3, in the southeast of the country, said on Thursday it has signed an 865,000 levs ($544,400/442,300 euro) turbine equipment repair deal with local company Atomenergoremont [BUL:68A].
The deal was signed on April 10, ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 said in a notice.
ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 received three offers in the public procurement procedure for the contract, and Atomenergoremont offered the lowest price, it added.
The 908 MW ContourGlobal Maritza Iztok 3 is 73%-owned by ContourGlobal, with the Bulgarian state-owned National Electricity Company holding the remaining 27% stake.
