SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 24 (SeeNews) – The construction of a main road linking Bosnia's only coastal town of Neum to the municipality of Stolac is due to begin next month, the government of the country's Federation entity said on Wednesday.
The contract value of construction of the Neum-Stolac road section is 11.9 million marka ($7.5 million/6.1 million euro).
Construction works will be financed with the proceeds of loans from the European Investment Bank and the World Bank, the government of the Federation said in a statement.
The works are divided into two lots and are expected to be completed within a year.
Construction company Integral inzinjering will work on the first lot, while the second one will be built by a consortium of companies including HP Investing from Mostar and Putevi from Grude.
Bosnia is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
