September 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's competition regulator said it launched proceedings on Wednesday in relation to a complaint filed by Germany's Siemens Mobility regarding Bulgarian state-owned BDZ Passengers' 675 million levs ($393.7 million/345.1 million euro) tender for supply of 42 passenger railcars.
Siemens Mobility filed its complaint with the regulator on Monday, according to data from the Commission for Protection of Competition.
No further details were provided by the regulator.
BDZ Passengers launched the tender in mid-August and set October 12 as deadline for submitting offers. The contract envisages supply of 42 passenger railcars and technical support for a period of 15 years.
