SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 25 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria's competition regulator said on Wednesday it has allowed Greek-owned fuel retailer Eko Bulgaria to acquire an undisclosed number of filling stations from Bulgaria Leasing.
The deal does not represent a merger as defined by Bulgarian legislation, the Commission for Protection of Competition said in a statement.

Until now, Eko Bulgaria operated the filling stations, subject to the deal, under a lease agreement with Bulgaria Leasing.
Eko Bulgaria, part of Greek oil company Hellenic Petroleum, currently operates 81 filling stations and four oil depots across Bulgaria under the EKO brand.
