June 11 (SeeNews) - A coalition of three parties led by former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders won Sunday's early general election in the country, local media reported quoting an exit poll.
The snap election was called after a coalition government led by Isa Mustafa lost a no-confidence vote sought by the opposition and backed by the biggest party in the coalition, the PDK.
The PDK-AAK-Nisma coalition led by former KLA leaders Kadri Veseli, Ramush Haradinaj and Fatmir Limaj, won 40% of the votes against 30% for the nationalist Self-Determination party, broadcaster Klan Kosova reported quoting an exit poll.
Third came a coalition of Mustafa's LDK party and other formations with 27%.
The exit poll has a 1-1.5% error margin.
Earlier on Sunday the Central Election Commission said 27.75% of Kosovo's 1.87 million eligible voters had cast a ballot by 1500 local time.
A total of 26 parties are competing for 120 seats in Kosovo's parliament.
Members of parliament are elected for a four-year term.
A total of 20 seats of the parliament are reserved for minorities, 10 of which for the Serb minority.
