BUCHAREST (Romania), October 18 (SeeNews) – Central European Media Enterprises (CME) grew the operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) from its business in Romania to $58.7 million (50.7 million euro) in the first nine months of 2018, up 13.3% year-on-year, the international broadcaster said on Thursday.
Net revenues from operations in Romania rose to $136.6 million in the January-September period, up by an annual 6.8%, CME said in an interim financial report on Thursday.
CME's portfolio in Romania comprises TV channels PRO TV, PRO 2, PRO X, PRO GOLD, PRO CINEMA, PRO TV International, MTV Romania and PRO TV Chisinau.
CME's total OIBDA which includes operations in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia, rose by 22.5% year-on-year to $119.9 million in the first nine months of 2018. Total net revenues increased by 11.7% to $422 million for the period.
In Bulgaria, CME's portfolio comprises TV channels bTV, bTV Cinema, bTV Comedy, bTV Action, bTV Lady and Ring.
