LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 17 (SeeNews) – Central European Media Enterprises (CME) grew its operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) from operations in Slovenia to $15.0 million (13.5 million euro) in the first nine months of 2019, up 24.6% year-on-year at actual rates, it said on Thursday.
CME's net revenues from operations in Slovenia rose to $54.5 million in January-September, up by an annual 1.9%, the international broadcaster said in an interim financial report for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2019.
In the third quarter alone, OIBDA from operations in Slovenia rose by an annual 76.8% to 3.8 million euro, while revenues added 5.8% to 14.4 million euro.
CME operates five television channels in Slovenia - POP TV, Kanal A, Brio, Oto and Kino.
CME's total OIBDA from operations in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, rose 15.8% year-on-year to $152.8 million in the first nine month of the year, while total net revenues fell 1.4% to $469.0 million.
