October 18 (SeeNews) - International broadcaster Central European Media Enterprises (CME) said on Thursday that its Bulgarian business generated an operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) of $13.1 million (11.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2018, up from $6.7 million in the same period of last year.
CME's net revenues from Bulgarian operations rose to $59.2 million in the January-September period, from $52.1 million in the comparable period of 2017, CME said in an interim financial report.
In the third quarter alone, CME posted an OIBDA of $4.5 million from its Bulgarian operations, up from $2.4 million the year before. Net revenues from Bulgaria increased slightly to $16.3 million in the July-September period from $16.0 million in the corresponding period of last year.
CME's portfolio in Bulgaria comprises TV channels bTV, bTV Cinema, bTV Comedy, bTV Action, bTV Lady and Ring.
