July 23 (SeeNews) - Central European Media Enterprises (CME) grew the operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) from operations in Slovenia to $11.1 million (9.9 million euro) in the first half of 2019, up 13.1% year-on-year at actual rates, it said on Tuesday.
CME's net revenues from operations in Slovenia rose to $40.1 million in January-June, up by an annual 0.6%, the international broadcaster said in an interim financial report for the six month period ended June 30, 2019.
In the second quarter alone, OIBDA from operations in Slovenia rose by an annual 19.5% to 6.2 million euro, while revenues edged down 0.4% to 22.3 million euro.
CME operates five television channels in Slovenia - POP TV, Kanal A, Brio, Oto and Kino.
CME's total OIBDA from operations in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, rose 15.8% year-on-year to $111.4 million in the first half, while total net revenues fell 2.5% to $330.2 million.
