SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 15 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian leasing companies' claims under financial and operational leases have increased by an annual 7.8% to 3.53 billion levs ($2.13 billion/1.8 billion euro) at the end of September, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on Wednesday.
Compared to end-June, claims were 1.7% higher, BNB said in a statement.
Financial lease claims totalled 3.37 billion levs at the end of September, up by an annual 6.3% and 1.6% higher than in the previous quarter.
Operational lease claims totalled 165.4 million levs at the end of September, up by 49.9% year-on-year and 4.7% higher quarter-on-quarter.
The assets of the companies operating in Bulgaria's leasing sector totalled 4.28 billion levs at the end of September, compared to 4.16 billion levs at end-June.
