October 19 (SeeNews) - The city of Nis, in eastern Serbia, said it will hold an auction on November 18 for the lease on two sites earmarked for the construction of a hotel complex and a recreational park.
The first location, Lozni Kalem, near the Niska Banja spa, has a total area of around 220,000 square metres (sq m) and is offered at a minimum lease rate of 10 euro per sq m, the municipality of Nis said in an auction notice posted on its website late last week.
The site is earmarked for the construction of recreational facilities, indoor and outdoor sports venues and an aqua park.
The second site, on the downtown Skopljanska street, has an area of 3,351 sq m and is offered at a minimum lease rate of 250 euro per sq m. It is slated for the construction of a hotel complex with additional retail, leisure and banking service facilities.
Local and international companies and individuals are eligible to bid for both land plots, the municipality said. The leasing term is 99 years.
Interested investors are required to pay a deposit of 170,000 euro ($253,900) for the first location and 84,000 euro for the second one.
