LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 13 (SeeNews) – The benchmark share index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Thursday, as chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] posted the biggest losses among the blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Thursday's session 0.59% lower at 977.45 points.
Cinkarna Celje's shares lost 2.76%, falling to 194.0 euro.
Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips on Thursday. The company's shares closed 0.68% higher at 58.8 euro.
Earlier in the day, the majority state-owned Telekom Slovenije said it has submitted for approval to the country’s finance ministry an application for long-term financing in the amount of 100 million euro, to be used to finance the expansion and upgrade of the company's fibre optics access network.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] contributed the largest portion of Thursday's trading turnover – 363,790 euro. The bourse's total regulated market turnover fell to 868,600 euro ($946,780) from 1.07 million euro on Wednesday.
