January 17 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Friday, as chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] recorded the sharpest losses among Slovenia's blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
Cinkarna Celje's shares closed 2.50% lower at 195.0 euro.
Fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips on Friday.
Petrol’s shares closed 0.26% higher at 388.0 euro.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Friday's session 0.44% lower at 956.34 points.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated more than half of LJSE's trading turnover on Friday – 1.96 million euro.
The bourse's total turnover rose to 2.57 million euro ($2.9 million) from 2.27 million euro on Thursday.
