“Our company has started its activity in Romania, achieving positive business results in a first calendar year during which operational aspects such as the establishment of the local team and the Bucharest office, the implementation of the integrated SAP system and the efficiency of direct deliveries in Poland were gradually completed,” Wojciech Babski, CEO of BU Agro CIEC, said.
For 2023, Ciech Agro plans to expand its sales and marketing team, as well as develop its distribution network, both locally and regionally, while expanding its current portfolio of plant production products.
The company aims to increase its local market share on the non-selective herbicide segment to 2-3% in the coming years, while expecting the market for crop protection products in Romania to grow around 3% to 4% annually in the near-term.
Ciech Agro will also direct future investments towards new IT solutions for agriculture, such as a virtual consultant and digital agriculture.
