July 30 (SeeNews) - Serbian company Eurofiber, owned by Hong Kong-based China Prosperity Industrial Corporation, plans to open two more factories in Cuprija, the city mayor has said.
"Eurofiber will soon open its second factory in Cuprija. We expect them to come with a new idea in August. Eurofiber plans to open a third production facility," Ninoslav Eric said in a press release last week.
The company opened a yarn and fibre factory in Cuprija, in central Serbia, in November 2016 following investment of 1 million euro ($1.1 million) in its construction.
Back then, Eurofiber said it plans to start a 13 million euro project to build a new factory in Cuprija on an area of 20,000 sq m and hire a further 200 workers after three years.
Eurofiber plans to increase output in China and Serbia to 10,000 tonnes annually, and to close the entire production cycle from yarn to finished product, company owner Dzhang Dzhigo said in November 2016.
