October 30 (SeeNews) - Chinese investor Dragan Guru Djuragin has sent a letter of interest in the acquisition of Bosnian sugar factory Secerana Bijeljina, Bosnian media reported.
"The buyer is looking for more information on the state of Secerana Bijeljina. By the end of the week, we expect his team to come and examine the situation," news daily Glas Srpske quoted bankruptcy trustee of the sugar mill, Nebojsa Matic, as saying on Tuesday.

Dragan Guru Djuragin has committed to pay a deposit of 700,000 marka ($398,000/358,000 euro) by the end of October, Matic said. "The Board of Trustees meets on November 5, and then I should inform them if the payment has been made," he added.
Earlier this month, Bosnian media reported that Dragan Guru Djuragin is interested in acquiring Secerana Bijeljina for 7 million marka. The investor intends to start production of sugar at the factory and employ around 150 people by March.
In July, Secerana Bijeljina's assets were offered for sale at a price of 10 million marka but there were no bids. The assets had been put up for sale several times previously without success.
