April 20 (SeeNews) - KSHG Auto Harness GmbH, the German subsidiary of Chinese wire harness assembly specialist Kunshan Huguang Automotive Electric Co, intends to launch production of car parts for the Volkswagen Group in Romania, the government of Romania's Hunedoara county said.
The production line will be located in CTPark Deva II, in the commune of Bacia, and will generate 400 new jobs during the first stage, the Hunedoara county council said in a social media post on Wednesday.

“It is the first time in six years that the German carmaker is interested in co-opting a new supplier […] Hunedoara County is attractive to foreign investors due to its available workforce, transport infrastructure and geographical position,” Laurentiu Nistor, Hunedoara county council president, said.
Representatives of KSHG Auto Harness, CTPark Deva and Bank of China Romania, along with the mayor of Bacia commune met with Hunedoara county officials to discuss the potential investment.
Kunshan Huguang Automotive Electric Co was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Zhangpu, Kunshan City. Research and development are driven by a team of specialists in China and Germany, data from KSHG Auto Harness’s website shows.
