BELGRADE (Serbia), August 23 (SeeNews) – Chinese heavy machinery manufacturer XCMG said it has delivered equipment for the ongoing construction of the Bar-Boljare motorway in Montenegro.
The XTR260 cantilever-type tunnelling machine of XCMG is already working on Montenegro's Bar-Boljare motorway project, along with truck cranes, road rollers and land levellers, XCMG said in a statement on Wednesday.
The tunnelling machine has played a pivotal role boring the Pajkov Vir tunnel portion of the Montenegro motorway project and had an excellent performance at six tunnelling tasks, the Chinese company said.
The construction of the 165 km-long motorway, which will link Montenegro's Bar port to the Serbian border, started in May 2015. Montenegro plans to invest a total of 809 million euro ($934.6 million) in the project.
XCMG ranks sixth in the world's construction machinery industry. The company exports to more than 182 countries and regions around the world.
