February 14 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said China's Sichuan Road and Bridge Group (SRBG) has expressed interest in investing in the country.
SRBG is interested in the execution of large investment projects in Montenegro in the tourism, energy and railway infrastructure sectors, DPS said in a statement on Monday, following a meeting between the president of DPS and former Montenegrin prime minister, Milo Djukanovic, and a delegation of SRBG, led by general manager Ru Gang Yang.
In November, Montenegro's parliament approved Dusko Markovic as the prime minister of a pro-NATO and EU coalition government led by DPS, the winner in the general elections held in October.
Djukanovic was the prime minister of four Montenegrin governments in the period between 1991 and 2016. He was president of Montenegro between 1998 and 2002.
