April 16 (SeeNews) - The China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation, Sinosure, is interested in participating in transport and energy infrastructure projects in Serbia, its president Wang Tingke said on Tuesday, as quoted by the Serbian government.
Sinosure is interested in cooperation, both through project financing and by recommending to its clients to participate in Serbia's economic development, a Serbian government statement quoted Tingke as saying during a meeting with officials in Belgrade.
A Serbian government delegation will visit Beijing next week to sign several financial agreements, as the country is interested in cooperating with a global credit insurance company like Sinosure, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said, as quoted in the statement.
The total value of the planned and currently executed Chinese investments in Serbia amounts to 10 billion euro ($11.3 billion), Mihajlovic also said.
Sinosure is a state-owned company under the administration of China's finance ministry serving as the provider of export credit insurance.
