May 28 (SeeNews) - China's Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association has opened a contact office in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv, the Bulgarian agriculture ministry said on Monday.

The platform is expected to boost e-commerce between China and the countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Western Balkans, the ministry added.
"The platform connects legal entities and governments. We are providing options to manufacturers to present their products through the established b2b and b2c platform," Vassil Gelev, director of Sofia-based Association for Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE countries, said in the statement.
In November, the association together with Bulgaria's agriculture ministry opened the logistics centre for e-commerce in Plovdiv.
The countries members of the "16+1" initiative include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia.
