BELGRADE (Serbia), June 17 (SeeNews) – Chinese company Mei Ta has opened a second car parts factory in the Obrenovac municipality of Serbia's capital Belgrade following investment of 90 million euro ($100.9 million), the municipal government said.
The total investment by Mei Ta in its two factories in Obrenovac amounts to 150 million euro, Serbian finance minister Sinisa Mali said at the opening ceremony of the facility, as quoted in a statement by the Obrenovac municipal government on Friday.

The company employs 2,400 in its first factory opened in Obrenovac last year plus 400 in the new production plant, Mali said, adding that Mei Ta is in talks with the Serbian government on the construction of a third factory.
Mei Ta manufactures automotive parts, engine components and general industrial parts. The company operates several production facilities in France, Slovakia, China and India.
