Stemberger noted however that since the offer expires on June 26, Hisense's final shareholding may be even higher than 94%.
On May 29, Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding launched a takeover bid for the 16,374,599 shares it did not hold in Gorenje, and offered to pay 12 euro ($14.0) per share.
Prior to the offer, Hisense had already acquired 8,050,014 Gorenje shares.
Earlier in May, Gorenje selected Hisense as the best bidder in a tender for a strategic partner. Hisense had offered to pay 12 euro per share for 50% plus one share of Gorenje, the Slovenian company said back then.
