May 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenian white goods manufacturer Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] said on Friday that Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding S.a r.l., a member of China's Hisense Group, has increased its stake in the company to 27.75%.
The share increase was performed on May 23, Gorenje said in a Ljubljana bourse filing without providing further details.

On Thursday, the Slovenian company said that Hisense Luxembourg Holding S.a r.l. and Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding S.a r.l. acquired a combined stake of 22.56% in the company on May 22.
Hisense Luxembourg Holding S.a r.l. bought 1,154,977 shares, giving it 4.73% of all voting rights, and Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding S.a r.l. acquired 4,354,300 shares representing a 17.83% stake, Gorenje said at the time.
Earlier this month, Gorenje selected Hisense as the best bidder in a tender for a strategic partner. Hisense had offered to pay 12 euro ($14.2 million) per share for 50% plus one share of Gorenje, the Slovenian company said back then.
Several days later Gorenje said Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding S.ar.l. intends to launch a takeover bid for its shares, as the selected bidder has committed to launch a takeover intent within 15 days and a takeover offer in accordance with the statutory deadlines.
In November 2016, Japan's Panasonic decided not to increase its stake of 10.74% in Gorenje.
