October 17 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index snapped a three day losing streak by gaining 0.64% on Thursday.
The SOFIX closed at 563.67 points, backed by diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] and lender First Investment Bank [BUL:5F4], which added 2.75% and 2.0%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, gained 0.40% to 110.94 points on Thursday.
The BGBX40 was supported by a 5.30% rise in the share price of Odessos Shiprepair Yard [BUL:5ODE] and a 3.49% increase in Hydraulic Elements and Systems' [BUL:4HE] share price.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up 0.04% to 500.40 points, as Chimimport and Fibank led gainers among its members.
The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, added 0.20% to 127.90 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover dropped to 119,000 levs on Thursday from 1.95 million levs on Wednesday.
Turnover on Wednesday was boosted by trade in local diversified groups Rodna Zemya Holding [BUL:6R2] and Holding Varna [BUL:5V2], which generated turnover of 932,400 levs and 880,760 levs, respectively.
